Session 1
The first 8 seconds (understanding the first impression you create)

Personal branding is critical for the first impression you generate. Every day people make assumptions and judgements within the first 8 seconds of introduction.

This session will explain and demonstrate how you can influence that initial greeting to your advantage whilst assisting you in developing self-awareness, and appreciation for how others see you. We’ll coach you on the steps required to do so.

Session 2
Plan and understand the recruitment process

There is more to the recruitment process than ‘Key Words,’ and if you are not familiar with the correct course of action required, you have very little chance of your resume being received by the appropriate person.

By planning and understanding the recruitment process you will gain confidence that you are applying and being considered correctly.

Session 3
Career transition options

Your career pathway is the journey you take to reach your goals throughout your life. It is the combination of your experiences in life, your education and training, and your interests. Your career pathway will involve formal education and training, non-formal learning, and developing your personal skills and interests.

Within this session we will raise your awareness in terms of the career pathways and choices available to you, and guide you on how to achieve those career goals.

Session 4
Resume preparation

Your resume is your first introduction, and is primarily responsible for selling your skills. The key to a good resume is its ability to provide evidence and examples of your capabilities.

This session will instruct participants on how to convey a clear and concise ‘story’ of your history and achievements.

Session 5
Interview coaching

Have you ever frozen in an interview, stumbled over your words, or even waffled on for so long that you forgot the initial question?

This session will focus on what the interviewer is looking for, and how they evaluate your candidature. You will be provided with the opportunity to role play interview scenarios and gain confidence as you learn to formulate your responses and present examples as evidence of your experience.

Session 6
Job offer negotiation

The Fair Work Act 2009 and the Fair Work Regulations 2009 were developed to provide a safety net of minimum entitlements and fairness at work to aid in the prevention of discrimination against employees.

Job offer legalities and entitlements can be complicated, and this session will aid you in your knowledge to negotiate an appropriate outcome for your future.
